Live ActivitiesWhy hasn’t a Live Activity appeared?
Enable reminders and Live Activities in Moontide, then allow Live Activities in iPhone Settings. Real check-ins need Health history, a predicted window, your reminder time and no answer today. Automatic starts also depend on the push service, network and system scheduling; if a push doesn't arrive, open the app after your reminder time. Preview a check-in in Settings anytime; sample actions never write Health data. Notifications and in-app logging remain available.
PermissionsWhat if I declined a permission?
Change notification and Live Activity access in iPhone Settings, and read/write access in system Health settings. Watch Health permission is separate. Apple does not reveal denied read access to apps, so an empty view can also mean no history. Failed writes do not show success; labeled sample previews remain available.
Live Activities & moodHow do I log on the Dynamic Island or Lock Screen?
Enable reminders and system Live Activities during your predicted check-in window. Push starts depend on service and connectivity and may be delayed by the system; you can also open the app after reminder time. It started confirms only after saving; Not yet does not log flow. Some responses offer an optional mood check-in or Skip. Requires iOS 18+; Dynamic Island needs a supported iPhone, while other supported phones use the Lock Screen.
Getting startedWhen will Moontide remind me?
With real Health records, Moontide plans check-ins around an estimated period date. Choose the time, lead-in days and wording in iPhone settings. It does not invent a cycle prediction when there is no history.
Logging & correctionsWhat happens when I tap “It started”?
Moontide attempts to save a period entry for today in Apple Health. Confirmation appears after saving succeeds. If it fails, check write permission and try again. Apple Health synchronization between devices may take time.
Logging & correctionsHow do I correct a mistaken entry?
Use Undo after the current check-in, or select a date in the iPhone calendar to adjust flow. Moontide can change only records it created. Use the original app or Apple Health to change entries from another source.
Health accessWhy are my phone and watch temporarily different?
Health permission is separate on each device, and Apple Health manages synchronization. Check both devices’ permissions, connection and Health sync settings, then reopen Moontide. Avoid duplicate entries while waiting.
Health accessWhy are there no records after authorization?
Apple does not tell an app whether read permission was denied. An empty view can mean no matching records or no read access. Check system Health permissions; you can also begin by logging today.
NotificationsWhy didn’t I receive a reminder?
Check that real Health data is selected, reminders and system notifications are enabled, and the reminder time, Focus mode and watch notification settings are appropriate. Check-ins stop after a period begins, after today’s answer, or outside the check-in window. Sample scenarios are not real predictions.
PrivacyDoes uninstalling Moontide delete my Health records?
No. Manage or delete those records in Apple Health. You can revoke Moontide’s permissions at any time. Moontide does not delete data created by other apps.
Appearance & languageWhich languages and appearances are supported?
The foundation supports English and Simplified Chinese. iPhone follows system light and dark appearance; Apple Watch uses its native dark interface. Choose a supported app language in system settings.
PrivacyHow do I stop plans and delete data?
Turn off reminders or Live Activities; the app unregisters the server plan when it can run and connect. Uninstalling cannot guarantee deletion. Plans cover at most 45 days and expire five minutes after the last slot, removed by a healthy Cron tick; outages, backlog and recovery copies may delay deletion. Delete Health entries separately in Apple Health; see the privacy notice.
Moontide does not provide diagnosis, treatment or contraceptive advice. Cycle estimates only guide the timing of check-ins.
